This refreshing Riesling is bright with a beautiful balance.  Aromas of apple and pineapple dance on one's nose.  The mouth fills with the impression of an infusion of pineapple, mandarin orange and honeyed apricot finished by a lively balanced natural acidity.  This wine is our Dry version of our 2008 Riesling and is from Toor Vineyards one of the older vineyards in Oregon.  The label shows the outflow of the Natural Bridge.  The Natural Bridge is one of the must see water formations of the mighty Rogue River.  The river dives into an ancient 200 foot lava tube and runs underground forming a natural land bridge.  A relaxing viewing trail is available for your enjoyment.  85 Cases produced.

Our 2008 Riesling is an elegant sweet wine, with a beautiful acidity that dances on one's palate.  This wine has won numerous awards including People's Choice Runner Up White at the Greatest of the Grape, Silver Medal from the professional judging at the Greatest of the Grape, Silver Medal at 2009 World of Wine Silver Medal at the Taste of Harry and David 2009 and a bronze medal at the Portland Spring Beer and Wine Festival.  The grapes from this wine came from Toor Vineyards in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, a vineyard planted over 30+ years ago.  The Label shows our creek at Eagle Point Vineyards.  It was taken the same December morning as the White Grenache picture.   360 Cases Produced

Our 2008 Pinot gris greets the senses with pear and apple and follows with a luscious long finish.  The label shows the less known Crater Lake island, the Phantom Ship.  Like a great masted sailing ship mystically disappearing and emerging fro visibility the ship can be viewed from the lakes southern cliffs.

Our Early Muscat has a luscious sweetness, an apricot nose and bright acidity leaving one's palate yearning for more.  Show on this label is the famous "Beckie's Cafe" located at the Union Creek Resort.  This resort is one of the lasting jewels buildt by the Civilian Concervation Corps. during the depression.  The Beckie's cafe is a must stop for all the locals and travelers on highway 62.  The cafe is best known for their fresh huckleberry pie.

Our 2007 Merlot bursts with a smoky, spicy vanilla nose followed by a taste dominated by chocolate and mocha with a splash of dark fruit.   The label shows Crater Lake.  The extreme blues and volcanic formations of Crater Lake can best be experienced by venturing to the water's edge and enjoying the boat tour.  This two hour Ranger lead tour is well worth the 700 feet elevation hike down.  In 1865, Annie Gains ventured down the caldera and became the first white women to hike to the waters edge.  A number of springs and creeks in the region are named after Annie.  Fish are not native to the lake but Rainbow and Kokanee salmon which were planted between 1888-1941 still exist for one's fishing pleasure.

Smalls, our family dog is an essential part of our vineyard operation.  She accompanies Steve on the daily vineyard rounds, looking for birds, varmints and water to disturb.  Our 2007 Pinot Noir, like Smalls, has a round and approachable style.  Aromas and flavors of dark fruit abound enhanced by vanilla and sweet wood.  This wine will happily accompany grilled Salmon, Roast Beef and any dishes accented with mushrooms.   We must mention, that Smalls has a best friend, Merlot, a black lab mix who together are our fierce canine Vineyard security, they will lick you until you admit defeat.

Teroldego, a vine of northern Italy's Trentino zone, enjoys cool nights and warm days to develop into the compact pyramidal bunches with blue black berries and thick dusky skins.  The beautiful dark fruit, a genetic cousin to Syrah, has responded beautifully to our estate vineyard located in the Agate Desert of Eagle Point, Oregon.       Our 2007 Teroldego starts with black fruit flavors followed by smoke, almond and a touch of spicy pepper.  With it's medium bodied frame and slight tannins, this wine will compliment any Italian meal.

Housed in the Old District #4 Fire Hall in the heart of Shady Cove, Oregon, Crater Lake Cellars wishes to dedicate this Red Blend to the Men and Women that protect our rural community.  Serving the Upper Rogue Region since 1956, the Jackson County Fire District #4 protects a 55 square mile area, providing rural and wildland fire protection, medical response, swift water rescue and high angle rescue.   Combine lovely red and black fruit, a light pepper spiciness, accent with smooth tannins and acidity, and you will discover our Fire House #4 Red will compliment your meal or gathering.   The Label shows the original district #4 1956 Leather Fire helmet.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has deep alluring aromas and hints of vanilla, which gives one's initial impression of this wine as a bowl of cherries.  Soft tannins, good body and a mocha flavor contribute to a delightful flavor finish.   Mt Mc Loughlin is the majestic volcano towering above the eastern rim of the Rogue Valley.  This mountain provides a heavenly "gage" for local gardeners.  As the snow melts, a dancing "Angel" appears above the tree line.  This Angel signifies a safe time to plant one's garden.  Once the snow melts, and the Angels legs disappear, an Eagle appears.  This eagle shows when the Salmon are in the stream.  When I took this picture from our backyard, I was attracted to the plume of smoke appearing to come from an errupting volcano, but to my surprise, I found the reflection of the mountain naturally showing in the sky.

Our 2007 Syrah displays classic Syrah tones including black color and aromas of blueberries and vanilla.  It's fruity, creamy richness will last and last much like the classice Packards that once graced our roadways.  In 1949, Packard introduced their golden anniversary models celebrating 50 years of American ingenuity.  The grand '49 that graces our label was rescued by Bill and Patsy Terpening who painted upholstered, added new tires and gavie it a tune-up before setting out on a 10,500 mile journey around the United States utilizing the car's original engine.   The Antelope Creek covered bridge can be found in downtown Eagle Point, Oregon along Little Butte Creek.  This wine won a Bronze Medal at the 2009 Taste of Harry and David.

Why "29"?   For each vintage our most intense wine, full of character and reminiscent of the original 2004 "29" receives our "29" name.  The original "29" signified the brix's that was reached upon drying the fruit, Italian style.  Our 2006 Merlot starts with intense black fruit and follows with vanilla and oak.  The label shows Mt McLoughlin in one of her colorful moods.  The 2006 vintage from bud break to harvest was gifted with favorable climate, temperatures and soil conditions.  This wine was completely grown, hand picked and produced by the Gardner Family.  Another reason for the "29", ...wouldn't we all like to be 29 again.  This wine won a Bronze Medal at the Portland Spring Beer and Wine Festival 2009.

In 2006, the Rogue Valley feed by the Crater Lake watershed, experienced a long grape ripening period fostering mature flavors and a balanced bright accidity.  Our Chardonnay erupts with flavors of apple and pear followed by subtle vanilla tones.  Our 2006 Label has Crater Lake's famous Wizard Island postcard view.

Candy in a bottle describes the sweetness and delicious sensations that will be experienced in every sip of this 2006 Chardonnay.  Sweet, concentrated layers of tropical fruit with a long caramel and honey finish characterizes this decadent treat.  This wine will be great with pears, apples or simply poured on ice cream.  This wine was made simularly to ice wine...using a large walk in freezer to do, what Mother nature does in the vineyard.
